R2 Solutions (R2S) is a non-profit organization established to house the R2 Practices. They conduct educational and outreach services and provide administrative support for the multi-stakeholder R2 Technical Advisory Committee. Those involved in the R2 development process, and R2 supporters very much believe in the mission of the R2 standard and the positive effect it is having on the industry. Each recycling operation that becomes R2 certified not only sets themselves apart as an industry leader, but they become part of the movement to raise the overall industry standards for operations and material handling.
e-Stewards Certification is rapidly emerging as the leading global program designed to enable individuals and organizations who dispose of their old electronic equipment to easily identify recyclers that adhere to the highest standard of environmental responsibility and worker protection.
Department of Toxic Substance Control
DTSC – The mission of the Department of Toxic Substance Control is to protect California’s people and environment from harmful effects of toxic substances through the restoration of contaminated resources, enforcement, regulation and pollution prevention.
CalRecycle works with state and local government entities to help them achieve waste diversion, recycling, and environmentally preferable purchasing goals. CalRecycle also partners with local government to ensure that facilities operate according to state standards and permit/registration conditions.
